I always LOVE Valentine's Day! It's really so much more fun now that I have kids than it ever was before :) !!!
But normally (since they don't go to school and can't do the 'traditional' valentine swap there, I host a party. We were just WAY too worn out on parties after 'Birthday Season'...so we opted out this year.
I was happy with this decision at FIRST, but as V-day got closer, I started getting bummed. So Stephen took me on a date and we picked out Valentine presents for each of the kids (we don't normally do this). And then I helped the kids make valentines for family (and a few friends).
Clyde's valentines (those are up-cycled heart-shaped crayons glued onto those cards).....
Iris's valentines.....
Lucy's valentines....
and then Lucy made some special heart-shaped tea bags and put them in little heart-shaped pockets for her Colonial school-mates
I PLANNED on having heartshaped eggs & panera bread muffins for breakfast...however, the heart-shaped part didn't quite work out...so we just had eggs and panera bread muffins for breakfast...on Nana's china.....WITH Nana!! :)
Clyde opened his present first...records!!! (or I guess I should say 'vinyl')
Lucy next...knitting book and yarn!!!
Iris really wanted to last...Lala Loopsy doll and Lala Loopsy lunchbox (in which to keep lalaloopsies) !!!
It's been fun so far and it's only 9am!!
You are such a good Mom. You inspire me to enjoy my kids more and remind me they are young and grow fast…so I need to seize the moments. Thanks for living a good example and loving your babies. Hope the rest of your day is as good as it started. Love, Kristin S.
ReplyDeleteI made aaron a little bucket. It was fun.
ReplyDeleteKristin, that was so sweet. Thank you so much!! I don't always...and I'm sure you do just as much (if not more) than I do.
ReplyDeleteCamille, are you going to post a picture of your bucket??
