We went to Dad and Janet in time for my birthday and the annual tractor festival.
I turned 35 this year, and even though my sister and I agreed to not exchange gifts this year, she bought decorations, candles, plants, etc. Sneaky sister ;) Nana made me this coconut cake. Grandmom made dinner (well all our meals, like always, and cupcakes.)
Clyde (with his freshly bleached-for-Halloween hair )gave me lots of yummy melters and a votive...
Lucy gave me creme brulee truffles and a yummy fall candle...
Iris gave me a melter, a votive and an Avengers key chain....
Then I opened presents from the adults...here I'm opening Stephen's big crackling candles and bathroom mats :)
We went to the tractor festival. Here's a pic of the tractor train from behind. If you try really hard you can spot all my kids. And the only pic of my Dad in this post is right there on the right.
Kids shopped and generally had frivolity...
Then the kids transformed into some Avengers...
Lucy became Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch. We went to great lengths to make this authentic...down to the nails, necklaces, earrings, socks and boots. Wanda LOVES rings!
Clyde was the easiest (except the bleaching of the hair part) with his Pietro Maximoff, aka Quicksilver costume...
Then Iris transformed into Natasha Romanov, aka Black Widow. And she had quite the personality to match.
My Avengers!!
Grandmom went to great lengths, once again, to set up a trick or treat track through the house. I tried to take pics...didn't work out. But the kids had a jolly time and Dad had them sing "Happy Birthday" in English and Spanish to me each time they came to him! :)
Apparently, on the way home from Dad and Janet's, Sherry and David adopted this sweet beauty, Savanah. :)
